Please Note: While the high firing temperature and quality of our glazed and terra cotta containers results in a durable and frost-resistant product, we still recommend that they be stored in a frost-free covered area in winter. If left outside, water may accumulate in the container and freeze, causing the planter to crack and break. Planters that must be left outside should be covered to prevent water, snow and ice from accumulating inside the planter.

Angkor Spheres - Set of 3 in Angkor Features:

  • Made of Glazed Terra Cotta
  • Shown in Angkor finish
  • Also available in Volcanic Coral, Volcanic White, Verdigris, Fossil Grey, and Angkor Blue finishes

  • Frost resistant
  • Less vulnerable to winter damage
  • Appropriate for indoor and outdoor use

Stunning its unique Angkor finish, these Angkor Spheres comes in a set of 3 differently sized pieces providing a stark contrast against the vibrant hues of your garden plants. Made of glazed terra cotta, these garden accents are high fired between 990 (terra cotta) and 1000 (glazed) degrees centigrade to ensure frost resistance and durability. Place each piece in different parts in your yard or garden or simply group them together to create a more dramatic effect.

Always place any Campania product on a solid level foundation and not directly on grass, soil, or an uneven surface. While our pottery is considered frost resistant, proper winter care is recommended for all Campania planters for protection in environments with potential freeze-thaw cycles. If a planter is to be left planted over the winter, ensure proper drainage making sure the drainage holes are not blocked. Place a layer of coarse gravel in the bottom of the container to facilitate drainage. If the planter remains in contact with the ground surface over the winter, the freeze thaw cycles may cause the planter to crack or crumble.

It is very important for you to protect your cast stone and pottery fountains, birdbaths, planters and statuary from the freeze-thaw cycle during the winter months. Ideally, cast stone and pottery décor that can collect water, should not be left outside when temperatures dip down to freezing. They should be stored indoors or in a dry protected place such as a covered porch or garage that is away from the elements. This is not always possible, so it is recommended that you completely dry out your décor and add a waterproof cover. This is because any cast stone or pottery component that can hold water and freeze has the potential to crack and crumble. Components such as fountain pedestals which remain in a basin/pool can also crack or crumble.
